B2 · 19. Edilgen ve dolaylı anlatım
19.3 Dolaylı anlatım: reported speech
Neden zorlanıyoruz
Türkçede başkasının sözünü aktarmanın iki yolu var ve ikisinde de zaman değişmiyor:
• "Geliyorum" dedi. → sözü aynen alıntılıyor
• Geleceğini söyledi. → fiil -eceğini eki alıyor ama zaman kaymıyor
İngilizcede aktarma yapıldığında bütün zamanlar bir adım geriye kayıyor:
• "I am tired." → He said he was tired.
• "I will come." → He said he would come.
• "I saw her." → He said he had seen her.
Bu kayma Türkçede olmadığı için en sık hata zamanı olduğu gibi bırakmak: "He said he is tired". Bu duyulur ve çoğu zaman anlaşılır ama standart değil.
İkinci kayma zamirler ve zaman ifadelerinde: "I'll see you tomorrow" → "He said he'd see me the next day". "I" → "he", "you" → "me", "tomorrow" → "the next day". Bunu atlamak cümleyi anlamsız yapıyor.
Zaman kayması tablosu
Her zaman bir adım geriye gidiyor. Tablo ezberlenmiyor; mantığı "bir adım geri" olarak tutmak yeterli.
am/is → was | are → were
do/does → did | did → had done
have done → had done
will → would | can → could | may → might
must → had to
Örneklerle
Alıntıdan aktarmaya geçerken fiil, zamir ve zaman ifadesi birlikte değişiyor.
"I'm busy." → She said she was busy.
She said she is busy.
She said she was busy.
"I'll call you." → He said he would call me.
"I don't know." → She said she didn't know.
"I've finished." → He said he had finished.
"We met yesterday." → They said they had met the day before.
Zamirler ve zaman ifadeleri
Bakış açısı değiştiği için bunlar da kayıyor. Atlanması çok sık ve cümleyi bozuyor.
I → he/she | my → his/her | you → me/him
now → then | today → that day | tomorrow → the next day
yesterday → the day before | here → there | this → that
"I'll see you here tomorrow." → He said he'd see me there the next day.
Kayma yapılmayan durumlar
Söylenen şey hâlâ doğruysa zamanı kaydırmak zorunlu değil. Günlük konuşmada sık sık kaydırılmıyor.
Kaydırma mesafe bildiriyor. Kaydırmazsan "bu hâlâ geçerli", kaydırırsan "o zaman böyle demişti" demiş oluyorsun. Yani kural katı değil, bir anlam seçimi.
She said she lives in Izmir.
Hâlâ orada yaşıyor.
She said she lived in Izmir.
İkisi de doğru.
He said the earth goes round the sun.
Genel gerçek → kaymıyor.
She just said she's coming.
Az önce söyledi, hâlâ geçerli.
Soruları aktarmak
Soru sırası bozuluyor, do/does/did düşüyor — dolaylı sorularla (18.3) aynı kural.
"Where do you live?" → She asked where I lived.
She asked where did I live.
She asked where I lived.
"Are you coming?" → He asked if I was coming.
"What time is it?" → She asked what time it was.
Emir ve ricaları aktarmak
Emirler tell + kişi + to, ricalar ask + kişi + to ile aktarılıyor. Zaman kayması yok.
"Wait here." → He told me to wait there.
"Please help me." → She asked me to help her.
"Don't touch it." → He told me not to touch it.
He said me to wait.
He told me to wait.
say kişi almıyor — sonraki ders.
Günlük kullanımda
Gerçek konuşmada bu kurallar gevşek uygulanıyor ama bazı kalıplar sabit.
He was like, "No way."
Çok günlük — gençler arasında alıntı için.
She told me to call her.
En sık kullanılan aktarma biçimi.
Apparently, he's leaving.
Duyduğuma göre — kaynak belirsiz.
He said something about being late.
Kendini sına
Cevabı görmeden önce kendin kur.
Aktar: "I am tired." (She said…)
She said she was tired.
am → was.
Aktar: "I will call you tomorrow." (He said…)
He said he would call me the next day.
will → would, you → me, tomorrow → the next day.
Hatayı bul: "She asked where did I work."
She asked where I worked.
Aktarmada soru sırası bozuluyor, did düşüyor.
Aktar: "Wait here." (He told me…)
He told me to wait there.
Emir → tell + kişi + to; here → there.
